Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium

Flandrau brings together both the University and community at large to inspire the teaching and learning of science and technology. The science center and planetarium is available by reservation on weekdays for groups of 10 or more. Built to promote public appreciation and understanding of science, it’s your chance to bring your class for a complete, interactive science experience!

Audience: PreK-12

Science Field: Astronomy, Earth Sciences, General Science, Math, Oceanography, Physics

What You Get: An age-appropriate, interactive FullDome planetarium show for your pre-kindergarten through high school group, presented by a knowledgeable astronomer. All shows are aligned with state standards. Classes will also explore hands-on interactive exhibits, learn about ground-breaking UA Science research, and can see the dazzling specimens in our UA Mineral Museum. Cost: $5 per child, with a minimum of 20 students required.  1 adult chaperone is required (free of charge) for every 10 students; additional adults $5. Title I discounts are available; for more information, ask for details when you book your trip.
