Keck Center for Nanoscale Structure and Dynamics

The Keck Center for Nanoscale Structure and Dynamics is an interdisciplinary research facility. The Center's technical expertise and research equipment is designed to foster student training and research collaborations throughout the College of Science, complementing existing research strengths in microfluidics, self-assembly, chemical patterning, molecular motors, 2D optical and electronic devices, etc.

The Center will be housed in a single location and will be supervised by dedicated technical staff, whose responsibilities include student training as well as experimental measurements. The proposed equipment (still under development) includes high-resolution scanning probe and fluorescence microscopy, microfluid transport, e-beam lithography, and various surface characterization apparatus.

The Center is jointly administered by the departments of Chemistry and Physics and will be open to all research groups in the College of Science as well as the College of Engineering.
