Theoretical Astrophysics Program

Theoretical Astrophysics seeks to understand the workings of the universe, the basic interactions of energy and matter in stars and planets, how they form and evolve. Our program, which is among the top ten theoretical astrophysics programs in the nation, brings together faculty, researchers and students from the departments of Astronomy, Physics, and Planetary Sciences to address the fundamental questions of our universe's composition and behavior.
