UA Science Cafes

A Science Café is an opportunity for the community and a UA scientist to have conversation over food and drinks. With a smaller audience, a Science Café provides an intimate setting with a dialog between the public and those conducting science. A Science Café offers a casual meeting place, plain language and inclusive conversation, creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Science Cafés occur consistently, always the same place, time and day of the week.

Science Café Downtown is held at Cushing Street Bar and Restaurant, at 6:00 pm, on the second Tuesday of the month, September through May. Cushing Street Bar and Restaurant is located on the corner of Cushing Street and Meyer Avenue in downtown Tucson, across the street from the Convention Center. Complimentary, lighted, on-site parking is available on the east side of the restaurant.

Additional Science Cafés may also be held at Saddlebrooke, Oro Valley, Green Valley, Sun City Vistoso, Gallagher Theater and Tumamoc Hill.
